This panel will explore the transformative impact of DEIB activities on specialized library and information services. Panelists will provide a comprehensive view of how DEIB initiatives have enhanced their professional capabilities and service delivery, sharing personal narratives detailing their involvement in DEIB activities and the influence on their professional roles; providing examples of how DEIB has improved reference services, collection development, information literacy training, and user engagement; and discussing the challenges faced when promoting DEIB and the strategies employed to overcome them. Actionable Takeaways: Practical advice for librarians looking to start or enhance DEIB activities in their own environments. Attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of the importance of DEIB in librarian services and actionable steps to implement similar initiatives in their organizations.
