In place of the annual Standards Update this year, the Engineering Community is thrilled to offer an open discussion on navigating the standards world, which is anything but standard. Specs and standards are critical resources for design and compliance, yet costs and licensing may present challenges to libraries and information centers. Facilitated by librarians with corporate and academic backgounds, this discussion will offer the opportunity to informally connect with fellow librarians about the innovations, struggles and solutions they have encountered and implemented to deliver standards effectively to users. Attendees can hope to leave this session with insights into standards licensing and management that can inform their standards practices in their workplace.
